We gathered for prayer on Saturday (5/16) in Hagarstown, MD. Listed below are several of the burdens. We list these because we are trying to determine what (all) the Spirit is saying to the churches. Last year, God led us in our prayer times and answered many of our prayers.
*Coldness of our own hearts - toward the brethren AND the lost. Give us a softened heart that is moved by Your Spirit.
*Discernment of flesh versus Spirit - hearing the voice of God rather than the voice of the world.
*Make us set apart for YOUR service - not MY service for You.
*Help us to seek only Christ's kingdom and desire His return above all else.
*Prayed for the intercessors - teach us to pray Your agenda
*Prayed for the pastors/leadership/churches in the community - that we would recognize our NEED for prayer and dependence on God (vs. ourselves)
*Let us learn to seek God to transform us
*Let us learn to submit to Christ and trust Him.
*Put aside the things in the world that entangle us. Keep our eyes on Christ's work.
*Give us a vision of the world as You see it.
*Convict us of our attitudes of complacency, acceptance of sin, making excuses.
*Help us to see the need to put on the armor of God. To realize that we are at war.
*Make us desperate for You.
*Teach us to listen
*We also prayed for each of the speakers, Albert & the worship, Va. Ave. church, Aaron, Dan, technical aspects, draw those who the Lord wants to be there to come, etc.
